Karen started her art journey in 2012, never having had an interest in art before.
She primarily works in charcoal as they are odourless and can be manipulated with great ease and speed. Charcoal lends itself perfectly to mining art.
Karen is a member of two local art groups and often displays her art in various prominent places. She has sold her work in USA, Canada and France and is the illustrator of a children’s book – The Magical T Shirt.
Karen often gives her work to charities to raise money and her most recent achievement is working in ‘The Bob Abley Art Gallery’ in Spennymoor, Co Durham as a ‘Resident Artist’.
