Spennymoor Town Council Full Town Meeting Order of Business - Meeting to be held April 23rd 2024
The Mayor, Cllr Ian Geldard, and Santa joined forces to flip the festive light switch for everyone who attended to dance to music from the Spennymoor Town Band and enjoy entertainment provided, which included rides for the children, on Saturday 25 November.
Cllr Geldard said: “Once the Spennymoor tree lights are lit it feels like the countdown to Christmas has properly begun. I’d like to thank everyone who came out to take children to Santa’s Grotto, visit the Table Top Fair and enjoy the early evening’s festivities around the Christmas tree.
“Myself and everyone at Spennymoor Town Council would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!”
The Town Hall Table Top Fair proved a huge success, with traders selling everything from mince pies to seasonal candles, and we’re considering staging another one at Easter to attract more independent traders to the town. (Interested applicants can contact the Town Hall now)
