Spennymoor’s Party in the Park has grown in popularity, with last year’s event attracting around 5,000 people.

This summer, the event promises its best ever line-up, featuring a host of tribute acts who will perform songs by the likes of Adele, The Killers, Harry Styles and Madness…all hosted by popular North East radio presenter Paul “Goffy” Gough.

Spennymoor Town Council funds the event and has been determined to put on the best Party yet.

Town Mayor, Cllr Ian Geldard, said: “Spennymoor does parties properly and the Party in the Park has been a huge success in the years we have staged it.

“While the Council funds it and the artists performing create it, it is the people who make it so special – creating an atmosphere like no other.

“It is one of the events that I genuinely look forward to and judging by some of the comments we receive from attendees, it’s very much valued by the people living in Spennymoor and the communities that surround the town.”

Party in the Park will also feature free inflatables for youngsters, as well as bungee trampolining, street food vendors and a licensed bar.

“Come for the music, stay for the hotdogs!” said Cllr Geldard. Party in the Park is the perfect summer family day out.

“The music is great, there is tons for the kids to do and the park is looking spectacular thanks to the work of the Council grounds staff… we’d love to see as many people there enjoying themselves as possible.”

Party in the Park takes place in Jubilee Park, from 6pm until 11pm, with gates opening at 5.30pm. Entry is from Dundas Street and Carr Lane only and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
