Spennymoor Town Council Tudhoe Community Centre Roof Replacement

Over the past couple of weeks, the Town Council has been working with Spennymoor Town Football Club and local residents to resolve concerns over a planning application being brought by the Club.

However, as the Landlord of the Football Club the Town Council has a responsibility to not only the Club but to local residents as well and when concerns were raised which could have impacted the planning application, it pulled out all of the stops to come to a compromise which will involve us all working together (the Club, residents and the Council) to ensure that future expansion does not adversely impact residents living immediately adjacent to the Club.

The Town Clerk organised a presentation from the Club to which Councillors and Residents were invited to hear how the Club hopes to progress in the future and also for the Club to hear first-hand the impact of proposed changes.   This led to excellent partnership working and compromises being put in place from all sides as we all know Spennymoor Town Football Club has been extremely successful and everybody is again wishing them on to further promotion and expansion.

The Council would like to thank the residents involved and the Club for their support in resolving the matter and it looks forward to closer working in the future.
