Spennymoor Town Council meets monthly as a Full Council, typically on the fourth Tuesday evening of each month.

The Council also has two Standing Committees:

• Policy and Resources Committee
• Facilities and Recreation Committee

The Policy and Resources Committee and the Facilities and Recreation Committee typically meet on the second Tuesday of each month, with the exception of August when Councillors are in recess.

All meetings of the Council and its Standing Committees are open to the public, the Council Chamber will be open up to 30 minutes before the meeting.

The Council also have various Subcommittees and Working Parties, which are held mainly on an ‘as and when’ basis.
