This frenetic energy of Pop, street art and graffiti is alive and well in the mad-dash paintings of multimedia artist and curator Stepehn Irving, aka Zero Gradient.

Stephen Irving primarily creates abstract, action style paintings though the occasional human form or animal will break through the commotion of overlapping oil, acrylic and spray-painted marks.

In addition to painting, Irving’s practice spans drawing, printmaking, sculpture, murals, video and digital art.  Irving received his MA from Teesside University.  He is also the co-director of Pineapple Black Contemporary Arts Space in Middlesbrough, UK.
