What You'll Discover
Bob Abley Gallery
Explore one of the largest and busiest galleries in the North East, featuring an ever-changing collection of work from regional, national, and internationally renowned artists. The Gallery also hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year and is home to permanent collections celebrating Spennymoor's rich artistic heritage.
Mining Museum
Discover the story of the Durham Coalfield and the communities it helped shape. The museum features artefacts, photographs, memorabilia, and a recreated mine and coal face, providing a fascinating insight into the daily lives and working conditions of local miners.
Maker Space

Council Chamber
Step inside one of the Town Hall's most historic spaces. Originally designed as a Magistrates' Court, the chamber now serves as the home of Spennymoor Town Council and features a stunning decorative glass dome inspired by Art Deco design.
