New Artist / Volunteer

The Bob Abley Art Gallery is always keen to hear from artists interested in exhibiting their work. Whether you are an emerging artist looking to showcase your creations for the first time or an established maker seeking to reach new audiences, we welcome enquiries from artists working across a wide range of styles and disciplines. Even a small number of pieces can be considered for display.

At the heart of the Gallery is a dedicated team of volunteers who help create a welcoming and engaging visitor experience. Our volunteers play an important role in supporting the Gallery, greeting visitors, sharing information about artists and exhibitions, and helping people connect with the stories behind the artwork.

As the Gallery continues to grow and attract increasing numbers of visitors, we are always interested in welcoming new volunteers to join our team. Volunteering is a rewarding opportunity to meet new people, support local arts and culture, develop new skills, and become part of one of the North East's most vibrant gallery communities.
