Spennymoor Town Council invites the community to attend the annual Armistice Day Service on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at the War Memorial, adjacent to the Grand Electric Hall.

The service will commence at 10:50am, allowing attendees to gather ahead of the national two-minute silence observed at 11:00am.

Armistice Day marks the anniversary of the end of the First World War and provides an important opportunity to remember all those who have served and sacrificed in the defence of peace and freedom.

Members of the public, veterans, serving personnel, community groups and local organisations are welcome to attend and pay their respects as the community comes together in remembrance.

Through reflection and tribute, we honour the service and sacrifice of generations past and reaffirm our commitment to remembering them.

We Will Remember Them.
