Spennymoor Ward Byelection

An election for a new Town Councillor for the Spennymoor Ward of Spennymoor Town Council will be held on Thursday 29th August 2024, between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. There is one vacancy to be filled by this election.

The names, home addresses and descriptions of the Candidates remaining validly nominated for election are as follows:

There will be polling stations open 7am – 10pm on 29th August at the following locations in the Spennymoor Ward:

  • Ox Close Primary School, Ox Close Crescent, Spennymoor
  • Spennymoor Town Hall, High Street, Spennymoor
  • St Pauls Centre Ltd, St Paul’s Gardens, Spennymoor

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Monday 12 August 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at The Annexe, County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL by 5 pm on Tuesday, 13th August 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
