Any monies granted should be used to assist the people of Spennymoor or promote the area of Spennymoor.

They should not be for general expenses, repairs or maintenance, to improve privately owned property and cannot be awarded retrospectively.

They should be used for a distinct project such as an event eg Middlefest, purchasing specialist equipment for use by those with special educational needs or to create a community garden for use by the general public etc.

Individual requests could come from those representing Spennymoor in sporting events and requiring equipment or assistance with travel and accommodation.

There is still are still a small amount of monies left to allocate for 2019/20, and the Council does ask that two months’ notice is given from request to receipt to allow for any request to be researched and considered.

If you require any further details or an application form, please do not hesitate to email:  info@spennymoor-tc.gov.uk.
