Unc 34.5 Wear View, Byers Green
Temporary Road Closure Notice
Owing to a burst water main it has been necessary to temporarily close to vehicular traffic a 140 m length of Unc road 34.5 Wear View that extends eastwards from the access to Almscliffe, Byers Green.
The closure, which is being effected by means of Notice under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 is necessary by reason of likelihood of danger to the public and to permit remedial works to be carried out.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic is from the western side of the closure south easterly via Long Lane, easterly on Unc Road 34.5 (Michael Terrace) and north on Church Street to High Street to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa.
The maximum duration of the closure under this Notice is 21 days. However, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective from Saturday 13 July 2019 for an anticipated period of 5 days.
